Hello

Welcome to Mamaste Nutrition! Being pregnant and raising little ones is a wonderful and exciting time in your life. It can also be very challenging and taxing on your body. As a mother of three, I understand the physical and emotional demands that come up during pregnancy and motherhood. Fueling our bodies with the best foods and being physically active helps us feel our best and managing stress. Pregnancy and motherhood is also a great time to establish sustainable health practices that benefit the whole family.

My Story

Hi! I’m Rena – a registered dietitian, yoga instructor, and mother of three wonderful kids under 10! My passion for healthy eating, cooking, and yoga has led me to where I am today.  After graduating from college with a business degree and working in the marketing field, I decided to follow my heart and return to school to pursue a masters degree in public health nutrition and become a registered dietitian.

I have worked as a nutrition educator in New York City teaching children about making healthier choices and as a community nutrition program coordinator leading exciting city-wide nutrition programs.  As a health coach, I have worked with pregnant women and moms, motivating them to achieve their individual nutrition and activity goals.

I became certified to teach yoga while living and practicing yoga in New York City in 2009. I have had the opportunity to teach private, corporate, and prenatal/postnatal classes in New York City, Washington D.C., the Bay Area and most recently in Boston. During my pregnancies, practicing yoga helped me prepare for labor, relieve stress, and reduce aches and pains that come along with our bodies changing.

I use the most recent evidence-based research to provide nutrition recommendations during pregnancy and motherhood. There is an overwhelming abundance of information on the internet to sift through. I am here to do that for you!
